Hello everyone,

I know you have been waiting for my update for a very long time, so I think I should post some news about it.
First, I will explain why I have to take so long time.
I have to say, I`m not a big company, I just run a personal studio, very tight of human resources, also the

capital.
The development of this product has been stop beacuse I didn`t have enough money, and I use a complex way to

make it, which will take more money and time.
What is the complex way? Most rehousing lenses in the market are stressed on modify the mount, attach aperture

device, gears... but they keep the original focus transmission device. Unfortunately, the focus device on most

still camera lenses are not good for video, rotation range isn`t enough or have some play. If you want me to

make such rehousing lens, just attach rings, gears and PL mount on original lens, that won`t take so much time, but I don`t want to wast time on making it. I want to do something better, real rehousing completely, which have to drop almost every original part, and just keep the optical parts. Actually, I never make lenses, and it takes me lots time to design the mechanic, and the parts overlap, any tiny inch will affect many parts, so I need to test it, and modify, and then test, and modify.... it is really taking time and burns money.

This is the Test version of 50 1.4,it has very long rotation range, PL mount, covering Full 35mm image, and could be

worked on any DSLR. And my future lenses will have same features.

About the focus transmission device, I use traditional design: Multi-start thread, That can provide longer and smooth rotation.
http://i1010.photobucket.com/albums/af225/allstar_cine/IMG_0913.jpg

You can see almost of original parts were abandoned, then attach the multi-start thread part.

The test of 50 1.4 is almost done, and 14-24 are in process. The original parts of 14-24 are also abandoned for re-making 14-24, so that it can get longer rotation range and smaller size. I do hope they can be finished as soon as possible. And I believe that it's worthy for everyone's waiting. I will bring you products with great functioin and reasonable price.
The production is quit complicate, and for more time and budget, I decide to discontinue produce some products, and they are going to be on big sale.

I am going to visit the NAB show in Las Vegas, if someone would like to meet and purchas my products in person, please contact me before April 7th, I will give you nice price. Please e-mail to : allstar.cine@gmail.com

Thanks for your patience, I will keep work hard and do my best.

NICE! A nice rehoused prime set would be great if the price is right. I would really like to see someone do something with an 18-200.

Perfectly rehoused lenses for a reasonable price would be awesome! Would love to see the new Nikon f1.4 lenses rehoused (24,35,50,85).

14-24 sounds awesome to me... really would love to see pics of that lens and hear prices for this stuff, was looking at Duclos 11-16 but might jump for these instead if its light and small enough to be my travel lens

Congrats Allstar. I'll be here whenever you'd make the magic with 14-24 and/or 17-55, though I can't imagine lower prices than actual RED 17-50..

Very exciting! Your designs and craftsmanship are first rate. Sightly off-topic, but will you be making an adapter for the A-mount system for EPIC?

What a remarkable effort. Can I ask who you are and where you are working? And what kind of machine tools are you using?

hi, thanks for everyone's interest. But there won't be any progress these days, because I am going to Vegas for couple days. The glasses of this lens is from Sigma 50mm,
it is a magic lens, I believe that you must have heard about it.
A very cool test:
http://www.dpreview.com/lensreviews/widget/Fullscreen.ashx?reviews=23,25&fullscreen=true&av
I also use Sony za85 and 135. Maybe also will choose Sony ZA24. It's not possible for me to use Nikon 24mm G, because the price is too high, and I love Zeiss glasses.
I am trying to make 14-24 to be as small as possible. The diameter of the body now is 95mm. But because of super-wide, the front diameter needs to be 110 mm, otherwise it would appear in the image at FF35.
The 11-16 you mentioned, the lens is small originally, and they just attach rings and gears on it, so my 14-24 can`t comparing with this lens if you need small and light weight.
The price for 14-24 maybe "near" RED 17-35, I`ve not sure yet. But this kind of lens was sold in $10000 I believe you have already known.

I am Taiwanese (Taiwan is NOT China). All my products and any part of them are made in Taiwan. The parts of my products are made by this machine.

Although it can be done in a traditional way and lower price, but with this machine, it will be more accurate, but more expensive.

Hen Hao Allstar. Please keep up the good work. And my vote goes for leica r's rehoused haha. ok not practical at all. But maybe a custom job could be done ;)

Also you've been posting for a while, and we've assumed you're a singular person, what is your real name?
