Jim

Not only did I notice but I enjoyed the tutorials as well thanks to reduser Kevin aka khmuse.

All things Red are coming into crisp focus.

Thanks Jim. Great breakdown Brent.

Yup, Kevin/khmuse is quite gracious.

Congratulations to Jim/The Red Team and Lucas. This is going to be great to use on the LART BTS project... not a moment too soon.

The anamorphic aspect was a quick fave...

Jim, you are really taking care of us. Thanks my man.

Cheers,

Andrew

Cool.

I guess I'll watch the training vids and play with it... No R3D files to play with. Anyone want to send me one? I'll even host so others can download.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the kind words... but I'm just a sales guy with a strong geek streak. (or maybe a geek with a strong sales streak?) :)

If you want to thank someone - thank the RED team for having the vision of creating not just a camera, but a workflow.

I have some test .r3d files, but its just fully clipped and camera black sequences so I don't think anyone is going to want these.

I am sure that there is some generous earlier camera owner that will step up and give everyone something to work with!

Jarred posted in the REDCINE Forum that he's uploading a sample R3D file. Anyway, let's all try to move the discussion over there.

Hi Lucas,

Haha... I may be from the deep south and look like the lead from "Sling Blade" but I still think you were able to lend your considerable expertise to Red Cine.:) But you are right I am a very thankful for Jim, Jarred and the whole team for seriously changing the game. I was five years away from owning such high end gear at best. This past year was nothing but scrape and save... nights like this make everything worth it.

Btw, while reading and posting, I just got a call from an Emmy award winning producer that wants me to lens, light and edit his next docco. I blame the Red team.:)

You guys mean a lot. I needed the good news. These are not empty words.

Cheers,

Andrew

This is great news. The RED workflow is getting started.
Now this will save a lot of talking to producers. Yes, redcine is a free download. So everybody can train and get familiar with it.

Now Apple please bring out the new towers...

Cheers
Tim

I used supported resume download. I download everything in PC using Flashget and copy to Mac. I used Firefox previously, but keep getting error, halfway download.

REDCINE doesn't work on my windows laptop, since it doesn't have Nvidia chip. But work perfectly on my desktop.

Quick question... intel mac or power pc? Intel mac is supported-power pc is not. Also it would be optimum if you were using NOT using leopard. Hope that helps.

the files didn't expand with stuffit, but it worked when first saving the files to disk and then expanding with archive utility
