The Scarlet Fixed is purported to have a 35mm equivalent zoom range of about 28-224 (8X).

Not sure that 224 mm will be enough for wild life & animal documentaries I plan with... Is there RED long lenses primes planned for the Scarlet cinema ? How the Canon or Nikon mount handle long lenses ? Crop factor should help.

I think someone at red talked about wide angle and telephoto lens adapter for 8x, crop factor with cinema is x3.6 or 3.8 (to be confirmed). So perfect for huge tele use !

AF on the Scarlet fixed seems really effective. I'm wondering how AF will be handled on Scarlet cinema with other lenses ?:coolgleamA:
