There will not be any more footage posted before NAB. There is no reason to do so. Reservation holders will learn soon that they have an advantage over future customers. But all footage we are shooting now will be for NAB.

You really should change your name to "the Riddler". ;)

Can't wait to find out what's in store for NAB!

Thanks Jim! You rock! This has been my hunch based on what I read of you.

Sorry, Jim... us storm troopers might disagree. You should have tons of stuff for NAB... i hope... that you can at least let a few shots go for you storm troopers. I still can't decide to spend 1000 and goto Vegas or buy a lense and read about it. However, I'd be happy to drive my G35 coupe to whatever airport you will be flying from to Vegas with your RED focus group... I volunteer.

That's so above and beyond the call, and with Redcode 4k, etc, etc .....
Thanks Jim

So REDCORE will only be the ones able to shoot 4k? The rest are gonna be limited to 1080P unless they purchase the 4K release code for a further $17,500 .... way to go Jim. I knew you were on to something......the cam rules the market and you continue on your world domination strategy.....

Thanks Jim. We don't need any new footage before NAB. We want to "have an advantage over future customers". Yes, because that's exactly what we need.

Dammit! I made the wrong choice... Who needs a house anyway? I could have just lived in a cardboard box with my RED camera, accessories, and 8 core Mac Pro... :p

Methinks we (rez holders) are a privileged bunch. "Jim has got a few surprises" is more of an understatement. Once again, methinks Jim has got a closet of goodies for his loyal believers.

Hey Jim,

When you're grabbing footage for NAB be sure it ain't all top-fuel dragster and base jumping. I wanna see something from the dude who took this picture:

Forget the footage. I don't need to see any more footage to know this is a good camera. Please concentrate on getting working models out the door.

Forget the footage. I don't need to see any more footage to know this is a good camera. You don't need to see shots with deep DOF, exterior wide dynamic range, a variety of motion shots (both with the subject matter and the camera), and compositions with specific detail interacting with all of that ? I'm in love with this camera so far, but there's a lot of evaluation left, IMHO.

On the other aspect; i agree 100%. I'd rather they make the camera a tank and do a lot of field testing/manufacturing analysis ... i suspect by the previous footy that most people (myself included) don't mind waiting.:)

Sure, but I see Jim's point as that reservations are closed now, so no one is making a buying decision right now on this camera anyway. Red wants to have some impact at NAB with previously unseen footage, so they're saving it up.

I was commenting on the blanket nature of the statement. I completely understand why they're going to wait till NAB (and probably agree with their reasaoning). NAB's still gonna be like sniffing a kilo of 4K cocaine instead of our regular one or two lines of 4K a month, hehe

Jim and Team,

I've previously attended the CineAlta screenings held during NAB which is usually held at the Bally's. They have 2 sessions and they're packed.

Will the Red screenings be held offsite from the convention centre to cater for the interest and to see the demo material on the big screen?

I am sure RED will be at the main floor with the drag race footage piped though a 7.1 surround system to piss all the competition off.

There is alot of footage that I'd love to see, but actually, something with maximum dynamic range would be great. Just to see something with some great lighting would absolutely make my day!:)

I've been to all of of the CineAlta sessions... this is a GOOD model for the RED NAB presentation, although I'd bet that the RED version will be a bit more boisterous.

I agree Jim, I just don't want to spend 4hrs in a que for a 5 minute demo and then pushed out the door for the next group.

Give the demo material a venue that it deserves and fill it with the faithful.
