Hello,

I have three Zeiss Standard Prime T2.1 PL Mount lenses that I am selling. I have a 16, 20, & 32. They arrived today, were evaluated and appraised today, and I photographed them this afternoon with my Nikon Coolpix 7mp camera. I just now uploaded onto my ftp (pulled straight off the sd card, no Photoshop tweaks) for your untainted viewing pleasure. In other words, the optics and mechanics of each lens are excellent and of course they will contain some cosmetic blemishes for which I encourage you to examine with sharp eyes :0) File sizes are 2mb each.

Each lens was valued equally today. I was sure that the 32mm, which evokes less of a cosmetic sheen, might fall short of the 16 and the 20 value wise, but not so. Each lens was given identical value based on many variables of course. I am not a lens dealer either, so my current price for EACH lens stands slightly below market value. My current price is $3,500 USD for each lens.

Please indicate if you want more specific information on the lenses and I can provide that for you, as well as additional photos, etc etc. I am in the Los Angeles until Sunday so contact me via email if you want to see the glass with your own eyes. All the best.

Just a heads up folks:

The Zeiss 32 has an interested buyer already. (5min after I posted)

Unless something goes wrong with the transaction, I will indicate that immediately, but for now please disregard the 32.

That leaves the 16 and the 20. Thanks- tw

Hi Chuck. The "value" of anything is always fluxuating and is contingent on many variables. The economy, the supply, the demand, the quality, the hype..... on and on. Therefore, a variety of variables MUST be taken into consideration when placing "value" on something at any given point in time. In the case of the three lenses, there is no Blue Book to reference which required me to call upon experts in the field of optics to help gauge the current "value" of the three lenses in was selling. Hope this makes sense......

All three lenses have been officially sold. I wanted to extend my sincere thanks to reduser.net for providing the venue, as well as my Band Pro comrade Michael Bravin who referred me to Stuart Rabin of Focus Optics. Bravin and Rabin are to Zeiss Optics as Jon Fauer is to Arriflex MP Cameras.
