due to high interest from the first meeting we've switched the time to 3PM to 10 PM due to the long workshop that we'll be conducting that day. So Saturday May 28th 3PM to 10PM. We'll post detail time slots later.

We had our third meet up last night... Someone asked me why I was having these meet ups and if I worked for RED? I said I'm doing it for the culture. It's really a pleasure to teach and in return be strengthened in spirit. Looking forward to the next meet up. If you are in South Florida we are having a Digital Cinema meet ups the last Saturday of every month. The meet ups are free and informal. You get to speak, ask questions and network with other like minds. Currently our group has three red camera owners and we are all passionate about filmmaking. It is a technical group... but things are explained practically with immediate on hands experience. We would love to have you at the next meet up or one on one session whenever I'm free.

On the 30" Apple Cinema Displays? They are not calibrated.... one is really off. I use the Flanders Scientific monitor for color critical work.

Yeah I missed you and Cedric at this one. Wait till you see the slow motion stuff shot at 300fps with smoke bombs, fireworks, sparklers, dry ice, etc. Today I'll also add frame grabs of the low light test on the RED One Mysterium camera.

Still lenses vs Cinema lenses... what's the big deal??? Tomorrow from 3PM to 7PM at our monthly Digital Cinema meetup we'll be pitting Canon L primes vs RED Pro Primes vs Zeiss Super Speeds. http://www.meetup.com/Digital-Cinema/ If you've got lenses bring them. We already got the RED Pro Primes and Zeiss Super Speeds... bring your best Canon glass.
