I got an email letting me know there is updated drivers for my RED Rocket card (v1.4.7), and a new version of RCX. My question is, will I have any issues with the latest version of the RED Rocket drivers being compatible with storm?

The latest firmware doesn't seem to be compatible with Storm yet, but the drivers don't seem to change anything in my experience. Nevertheless, I recommend having matching Rocket firmware and drivers.

Were you able to test storm with the latest firmware? What wasn't behaving correctly?

Hi Dave, when Storm 1.0v2 was released the 1.4.7 drivers/firmware weren't available at the time unfortunately, so Storm is still only qualified for 1.3.5c. However, this should change for the upcoming 1.0v3 release.
thanks,

Yay! Updated support!
@Dan. Storm will just refuse to use your Rocket. A bummer, but a very safe bummer if that's your concern. I'd be more worried about repeatedly brainwashing my Rocket back and forth between firmware builds.

Yep, we basically do the same as RedCineX and warn that there's a mismatch between the versions. Then you can choose to re-flash or run in software mode depending on the circumstances. :smile5:

Just downloaded v1.03 and so far decent with RR 1.4.7.
A few things are glitchy here and there but Ill post that on listserve.
