I have a shoot coming up that would be a perfect early test of the Red for my producer and I. We were curious though about getting a "clean" SDI output of the camera. No framelines, basic color correction (are LUTs enabled?), is this a reality in the current build?
I know that ONLY the SDI will be active, but we'd love to plug into a dvcpro deck, and tie audio to it so we have a picture/sound muxed tape master. The agency is supposed to be editing this, and they will only cut on DVCPROHD, so if we could get the SDI to look good enough we'd shoot both RAW and DVCPROHD. Let them cut off the tape and we could test our RAW workflow inhouse, but with no intention on onlining back to the RAWS.
Basically is the SDI output and live debayering good enough for a usable master?
For 23.98 material what is the SDI actually putting out? 60i with a pulldown, or 23.98psf?
(edit: Just read the manual where it states it's 720p@59.94 in our case no mention of pulldown method)
