I noticed the prior codec didn't play back nearly as fast under Leopard as Tiger. Anyone else have any feedback on that?

Mike, FlameOp or anyone else who has a minute please advise on best current combo of OSX version and RedCode QT component version for stability and speed. Thanx :detective2:

I have been playing with REDCINE under OSX 10.4.11 (latest rev Tiger) and under 10.5.1 (Leopard) and I don't see any noticeable speed difference. The systems are nearly identical -- both 2.33GHz Core2 Duo, 2GB RAM, ATI X1600 video. One is a 24" iMac, the other is a 15" Macbook Pro.
But so far, I only have the couple sample clips uploaded by Jarrend and I haven't spent that much time. Just a couple test runs to understand the interface and to see what conversion / encoding times were like.

Blair, due to it using gpu in the mix i think currently your best trying all mixes on your kit/box and see which works best.
Saying that I'm back to V1 of RC v1.01 messed the colours up on the main display but not the proxy thumbnails..
send me an email and I'll keep you updated on all our tests for info.
