It's official now.

It's actually 4096x2400 -- perfect for RED. Input is 4xDVI-DL with 12bit color. I'm hoping RED will come out with something just like this, but with REDvolutionary pricing and a more elegant way of attaching it to something. Actually, connecting it to a PC with dual video cards is easy. The question of connecting to a Mac with the current video offerings from Apple would be a hassle. You would have to order a second X1900XT card from Apple Parts and then use the PCI-E lane utility to configure the first to PCI-E slots as 8 lanes each. And no SLI / CrossFire benefits like in PC land either.

We have and use the JVC HD2K projector. It is one of the finest out there. Would not hesitate to get the JVC 4K when the time is right.
Cheers,

Well, Engadget is misleading, "4k x 2k". I just scanned through this one real quick.

:) Hehe, no worries. It's just that if I see a nit, I have to pick it. In my nature, I guess.

As far as i know. Jvc have their entry level hd d-ila for a reasonable price, however i thought that their 2k projector was far more expensive than other brands like barco. Now with the tempting price of the sony , they have to compete this, but will they do???
