need 90 mb/sec Sandisk Extreme Pro cards if anybody has any they want to rent for a day next week. shoot is wednesday the 1st. looking for 32 gb capacities. please pm if you are in NYC and wanna make a few bux off your card.

Quick question. Can you give me more details of the Sandisk CF cards performance? Can they record bursts and at what maximum frame rate? Can they also record 4K, or are there any limitations you've experienced?

this was all for a ki pro mini, not for R1. needed more rated CF cards for that job. on RED, youll be limited to rec 28, at 2k. that's that. it's a firmware lockout.
CF is crap technology IMHO. great for still photos, not so hot for video. RED made the right choice by moving away from it. innovative and a great idea 4 years ago, but price per gb ratio is really high, it doesn't drop too much in price, and sustained speeds are a joke. to record on a ki pro mini you need the 90 mb/sec cards, when pro res hq only records at maybe 25 mb/sec max. you need THAT much over head just to sustain that kind of speed.
