I want this to be true so much - the timing would be perfect if these are announced in the next month, and a new form factor would make sense as there aren't actually any new chips to put in these until the end of the year, so a new case and thunderbolt would help sales.

Also - releasing these alongside FCP X at the end of June would thumb a massive nose at the Apple-pro-bashers... Makes sense to me.

More likely that they are having sourcing issues fron Japan, just like Red and everyone else in the electronics business.
