Haven't been keeping up-to-date, so wouldn't mind some basic info on what lens options/mounts will be available.

PL Mount
B4
Nikon 35mm

Is that about it? Canon FD maybe?
Are these all going to be options. Is there one "standard" mount?

You pretty much covered it. PL mount is the "standard" mount with the camera. B4 mount will have no communication interface.

But B4 will have 12 volt auxiliary power from a tap on RED One. This 12 volt tap can power the servo zoom units on B4 2/3" HD ENG lenses. Focus and iris on B4 lenses will be manual. B4 lenses have manual/auto switches on the bottom of the servo units for iris and zoom (only manual functions will be usable on RED One). Summary for B4 HD ENG zoom lens use on RED One: power or manual zoom, manual iris and focus.

Here's an option for those shooting at lower rez on their Red.

So, to summarise:

- Red One ships with PL Mount as standard
- [almost] immediate options are Nikon 35mm
- a "little" later comes the Canon FD mount option
- then somewhat later the B4 mount will be available

- [almost] immediate options are Nikon 35mm«It is our goal to have the Nikon manual mount ready at the time we ship.

Sounds like the PL mount lens shortage is gonna' escalate?

PL mount is the "standard" mount with the camera. B4 mount will have no communication interface.

If anyone is required to shoot material from time-to-time that requires using a servo-controlled zoom 2/3" HD ENG lens, will they be able to retro-fit the planned B4 mount themselves (i.e. is the B4 mount going to be an adapter of some kind?), or will their RED have to to visit the RED doctors who birthed it to have the PL-mount swapped for the B4-mount?
