Create EDL in Resolve for renders?

I am rendering DPX image sequences from Resolve. Is there a way to create a new EDL that will reference the DPX image sequences. I would like to use this EDL to reconnect the DPX sequences in for ex. Smoke for Mac. When I created my Resolve project I used my Avid exported EDL to conform my R3Ds which works great, but unfortunately this EDL does not work with the rendered DPX image sequences. Maybe there is a way to change the name of the rendered files?

Resolve 8 will generate edl and XML based on the file structure of your renders. But we are all waiting for 8 to still come out
