LTO-4 info?

Anybody out there help me out on this subject: LTO tape backup. What's out there that works- does it work for RED video archiving, does it work for mac, and how cheap can you get it? I saw these monstrous fiber channel back-up-your-entire company server things on apple's store, but I found a LTO-4 on Dell's for less that $4,000: http://www.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/pvaul_lto4-120?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04
