Sorry this took 5 weeks to post, but it's been a crazy Autumn. I've posted some .tiffs of stouffers and lens resolution tests, some frame grabs of a short and one QT (1K H264). I have more to share when I get some more down time in a week or so.

BTW, can you read the res charts for us?
Targets that appear lighter than the background are proof of sharp lines. The other targets appear to merge into the background.
The highest numbered DS target that is still lighter than the background indicates the degree of sharpness of the lens/sensor combination
If the last visible target on the negative image of the sharpness indicator is weak while the one before it is clearly visible, the last one can be counted as 1/2 of a DS unit.
DS 1 10 lines/mm
DS 2 13.3 lines/mm
DS 3 18 lines/mm
DS 4 23.5 lines/mm
DS 5 31.3 lines/mm
DS 6 42 lines/mm
DS 7 55.5 lines/mm
DS 8 73.6 lines/mm
DS 9 97 lines/mm
Anything above DS 6 is considered excellent. The Red Zoom easily resolves DS 6 or 42 lines/mm. In some cases it resolves another 1/2 DS which would put it at 48 lines/mm.

Were you doing these tests with Trew Audio here in TO?
And if so, do you know Kieran Quan from Trew ?
He is a friend of mine, and I know they were working on getting the audio workflow setup for a red system.

Trew gave us a clockit box and appropiate cables so Red was in sync with sound. The sync worked fine for us. I think PS has done some addtional sync sound testing on there own though.

Just uploaded a second page of resolution tests with the Zeiss High Speeds and a new 4k .r3d (and a QT 1K downconvert).

I've seen the tests, Gregorios. There is a significant rez improvement in the last circle. Sadly, some aliasing remains. It is interesting to see theat the camera blurs the right side of the circle. Does that have an explanation?
I've cropped the image to show that.

I have never seen Putora 7A9 sharpness indicator chart in person, but it is described to have 9 different circles. The test photo only shows 7 of them. I believe the center "circle" is really three patterns: two outer half-circles, divided along a 45 degree angle, plus an inner circle. The right-hand half circle uses finer lines, and the inner circle has the finest spacing. So it is not just the camera or lens blurring that. The color aliasing you see is on the two finest, not-fully-resolved circles (and also some on the text at lower right).
The ASC Store and ZGC sell this chart, if you want one.

Thanks once again to D. Gregor Hagey for all the tests, and being willing and actually able to host those files!
I was hoping to be able to mirror them, but I can not. My website host is Globat.com where I have the "Terabyte package", 1000 GB storage and 1000 GB transfer per month. When I asked their tech support about my FTP session stopping before a 1 GB file was transferred, they pointed out Sec.10.2 of their rules which is that no single file can be larger than 10 MB. (!!) Oops.
They also say no more than 50% of your bandwidth can be binary files (eg. audio, stills, video) meaning few if any sites could ever approach 1 TB / month. Maybe google. Ok, sorry for the rant.

Yes that's right. This lens would qualify for 7.5 DS because I can faintly see detail in the 8th DS. That would give the Zeiss 50mm at T5.6 approximately 64.75 lines/mm of resolution. This lens is very good. Of course resolution is only one quality to look for in a lens.

That's okay. Battistella has kindly mirrored them at:

The files are grouped together and zipped for easier download (instead of one at a time on my site).
Thanks David!
