Hi Alexander,
Will the RED 1 AC power adapter work? If so, I have a new one in Santa Monica I'll give you a good deal on. Let me know. Afilms1@gmail.com

According to information in the Red Store on the Red website, the power adapter for the R-1 is different from the one for the Epic.
Why not just buy one there?

does anyone know if the only difference is a lemo connector?

I plan to buy just the 2B to 1B adaptor cable and use my old Red One AC adaptor. That also gives me the use of a spare battery plate from the Red One as well, all for $150.
Of course, if you have no Red One AC power accessories you may as well just buy the new adaptor from the store.
HTH!
Cheers from Tokyo,
Paul :)

Do Not use the REDOne Elpac. If you're in LA go to the RED STore and buy an Epic El Pac.

but still curious to know if the only difference is the lemo plug type

The 2B to 1B power adapter cable should work with all RED One power sources. However, I would check with RED first. I have not used it with the RED One AC adapter or direct power from a RED Charger. Works great with the RED Bricks. Keep in mind that the EPIC will not power up from a source that supplies more than 17V of power and I think at 20V or more, you run the risk of cooking your EPIC. Of course, the RED One doesn't draw that much either.
I must be missing something, but is there some reason the OP can't just pick up an EPIC AC Adapter from RED? It's the same price as the 2B to 1B cable... Just sayin' Maybe, RED is out of stock at the moment?

I've been advised not to use the 2B-1B cable with a REDOne ElPac as that provides inaccurate power to the Epic.

Makes sense, I guess. I haven't asked about it. Haven't tried it...
