Having said that, looks like it's up there now along with a small Epic M pack, and the side SSD, 5" Touch Screen and Red Mote as separate single items.

Any ideas why the SSD module's scarlet compatibility is X'ed out? Perhaps the witness mark wouldn't be accurate on Scarlet? The first photo of the SSD module on the RED website shows the witness mark far back towards the rear of the module (Scarlet fixed?), but the others show it near the front (Epic). I am wondering if that is the only reason though.

It's a great deal. I wish I could afford it. I'm hoping there is a nice discount on a 4 pack of the 128's as well sometime soon. That would fit my needs and budget better.

I hear ya Curran, believe me, but I still get heart failure at the notion of paying ten grand for a TB (thanks Steve!) of storage. It's small beer if you're on a big budget, but there HAS to be a cheaper option.

I haven't. And I haven't forgotten that the worst percentage price increase affects the side handle; it's something like doubling in price!!

Since it isn't included in the Stage 3 package, my finger will be on the trigger the second it hits the store! :-)

Meaning if you want to save money and avoid the price increase, you'd have to get those parts now before years end? And could we expect the Side Handle any time soon in the store? Purchase would of course only make sense if you knew that RED would sell the Scarlet-F as "body only"...

The "pay attention" post was IMO way to cryptic...

I believe RED will offer people the ability to place deposits before years end to avoid price increase. It's the people who wait and don't want to place a deposit that will face the higher pricing next year.

Sorry you're feeling screwed by newer, better deals. But, if you've been paying attention over the last few years, it really shouldn't surprise you that packages of media have shown up at a discount. In fact, I'm thinking it is quite fair of RED to offer these packages BEFORE the Xs start shipping. By the way, I bought a couple of 64GB SSDs a couple of months ago in an attempt to forestall a shortage of media when the X dam bursts, so I'm in the same boat as you.

I would love see these videos on RED.com in QuickTime or HTML5. That way I can acess them on iDevices. I much prefer to consume educational videos that way as it is much more portable.

Is there any thought to a solution to getting the BOMB and the Touch screen monitors playing at the same time from the body only... or are you guys developing a HDSDI monitor to do that... Just asking.

yes.. there will be a module for that, as always planned. there is no way 2 dedicated monitor ports should even work on the brain in the size we made EPIC.. so asking for another one of them in that little package is an unrealistic request.

Any sort of ETA on this? I've had the older 7" screen on backorder for many months and would love the chance to just get the 9" touch screen instead. How would I go about doing this?

It's GREAT, but you can only push your rods so far until they meet EPICs Brain, sooooo I just encountered my first hiccup.. I have a 2 stage rotating MB that will only rotate at the end of the rods, and I don't have rods short enough, sooooo, working on making shorter rods right now.. but kinda stinky..

Was just curious.... You guys change your mind and come up with so many solutions in there these days, you just had me thinking..
HDSDI is fine :))) and as well, with only a 7sec start up time now, I tend to swap between the 5 inche and bomb alot. ( I hate hot swapping the cables thats why I restart).

Oh the 9 inche looks and sounds pretty trick... It's bigger than the camera!!! look forward to adding that to the shopping list. .
Will it have a anti glare surface like the 7inche PRO when its delivered, the 5 inche is bit to reflective to use in sunny situations.

You guys have to stop making such cool stuff, I'm ordering through share habit now!
