Hi!

I usually work with a large monitor or multiple monitors to maximize the workspace.

I'm thinking about using two 24" 1920x1200 in portrait placed side by side for the guy, and a common second hand 19" for histogram and similars.

Mac (when are in landscape mode) see 3840x1200 monitor. In portrait mode, monitor gets 2400x1920 or it has any trouble?

Resove will adapt his interface to this 5:4 work area or not?

Hoping for a reply.

Why would you use a DualHead2Go? Your MacPro should have enough display ports on the GUI card to connect more than one monitor.

I have a DualHead2Go with my Laptop, and the experience is that it will give you 4:3 resolutions like 1280x1024.... (2560x1024 is what your mac will see)... but I don't see how you'll do the portrait mode, given your mac only sees one 2560x1024 monitor and the DualHead2Go does the rest in splitting the signal... so you would need to stack the monitors one on top of the other?

Anyways, Resolve seems to be designed for single monitor operation, so using a dual monitor configuration would do no good to the software (I think). Here we run the resolve on a single 27 inch monitor for the GUI.

Using dh2go allow resolve to view the interface in two monitor because are seen by the mac as only one.
Reading on the blackmagic website, there is a voice that says that the maximum resolution is 2560x1440 (2560x1600 isn't listed), so 2400x1920 it's to big and unsupported since you can't scale the interface window ;)

I'll go for the 27" from Dell that costs almost the same of two 24" 1920x1200 IPS Panel.
