Hello to all Australian and New Zealand Red Owners,

Highdef Video Services specializes in tapeless acquisition and workflows in Sydney. We have two Red cameras coming in soon Jan/Feb to add to the service, but our focus will be in the back-end workflow solutions.

We're looking to develop relationships with owner operators to provide higher end 'native redcode' post solutions, data management and archiving for long form projects.

We think the red rental market will be fragmented and ill-fitting for most feature projects that aren’t renting form the large rental houses.

Are owner operators interested in pooling their cameras for larger packages in longer term rentals (ie. Features) through a third party?

the first piece of content shot on RED in OZ was shot on RED #0031, which came in from America, and we are not a Large Rental House, so us small guys that have cameras that are doing an excellent job spreading the religion, doing the beta testing for you, and taking arrows in the back, deserve more credit than to be described as ill-fitting & fragmented. we have tended to support each other and take care of each other and watch each others back. after all a big company is just a sum of it's parts, which is just a bunch of guys working toward a similar goal.

Hi Michael,

We are definetally interested. We are a post and produciton company that will also be specializing in RED-centric workflow solutions as well as general post supervision (I am currently Technical Supervisor for WOLVERINE, and we are supervising Justice League as well)

We will absolutely be looking at pooling resources with local RED owners etc.
