EPIC HDR question

Okay so I know how the HDRx A track and X track works.

But here is a question I don't know if it exist.

Is it possible to record A track as say 5K FF or any 5K image reso and then have your X track be like say 2K 16:9? the idea is too have A be the main track and X would be the dailies shot. Just an odd question.

I don't think it can do that because X is suppose to be an exact dup of A.

No, The tracks are identical in spec except for exposure time.

You'd be better off recording the HDFSDI to a KiPro(mini) to ProRes for your auto dailies.

That's what I thought. But for our senior thesis shoots I asked just in case.

Even if you could record an additional 2K stream, it would be crop of the centre of the sensor. Your field of view would be completely different for your dalies to your full res track...
