need help on export - please forgive my ignorance

Guys,

job tomorrow, now AVID editor, not FCP and he needs:

Avid DNxHD 220x “the x is for 10 bit without x is 8bit which would be fine also”
Size 1920 x 1080
Frame rate for broadcast is 59.94
UpperField First
601/709 color levels

Audio
48k 16bit


We are shooting 4K 16x9 23.98 RAW.....how do I export these files to him - I looked at DPX for Redcine X Pro, but I am not well versed in Avid

any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the export module, choose Avid AAF and MXF as type, then under setup choose 1080p/29.97 DNxHD220x 10 bit.
It is not possible to export to an interlaced format - you would need to do that conversion in Avid or when exporting finished master.
Under 'options' select "Use restricted SMPTE range" to ensure 709 compliant colour levels.

Or deliver the RAW and let the avid editor use AMA and/or work out his own transcode.

Afraid I know nothing about 23.98/23.97 stuff as i'm in Europe, but hope that helps!
