EXTREMELY well done. Really works well for the intended purpose, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is a winning/picked entry.
Cleverly done, and well executed indeed!

(If I was forced to make a suggestion for improvement, I'd say that it drags just a fraction too long, with a few too many subplots; they work, but don't really add too much to the main story line. Again, this is a tiny, tiny point; it is deserving of a win for sure!)

"We could dedicate it to him...."

Haha. Nice job. I liked your high overhead shot looking down on the car.

So what happened to the stuntman???

I know these are young movie makers, but the lack of focus on the close shots just takes me right out of story.

Don't worry. The stuntman is only mostly dead.

I've made a huge mistake. You're right about the lack of focus on some close shots. It's mostly because it was a cold day and the focus shift on my sony pdx10 gets very stiff and my 2 batteries drain very fast when it's cold, so to save time, I just set it on auto and hoped for the best. I also had a lot of things on my mind other than the focus. I took greater care in creating memorable performances... and getting the takes I needed before running out of batteries.

I can't wait untill I find a good DP to work with. That would make it that much easier to make something truly great. It's just I live in a town of only 15.000 people, we don't really have men that specialize in operating a camera.

Thanks so much for your thoughts on my little movie. It was my first time making something in a foreign language, I had a lot of fun with it and plan to do more very soon.

Best,
Elvar.

You got some great performances in your short. And that field and mountain vista for your interview was really cinematic.

I really wanted to see a stunt or at least a bit more of a hint of a stunt happening... Even another one of those overhead shots with the car racing toward a ramp or something.

Other than that, it was really good. I understand the focus issues... Been there, done that one. Actually I still fight poor focus issues with my HVX and 35mm adapter. If Graeme's focus assist for RED is as good as he claims, we're going to be in for a real treat.
