Okay, I'm sure I had this working before but now can't figure it out.
1. Edit multicam in FCP using Pro Res transcodes. File names match and all timecodes jamsynced (identical to each other and R3D)
2. Save EDL (XML doesn't work with multicam well)
3. In DaVinci, populate media pool with R3Ds
4. Load EDL
The conform EDL window shows the correct reel names, but the actual conform/color timelines only use the first clip in the media pool for every cut. The C is in every clip, showing me there is a conflict, but I can't seem to get it to use the correct clips.
I get that it is really looking for matching timecodes and throwing up the first thing it sees, but isn't there a way to get it to respect the reel name as well?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
NOTE - same EDL works perfectly when brought into RCX.
Cheers,
