Hello
I have some footage which was shot at 30P and has some low level flicker from some 50hz lighting that spilled on to the talent. (main lighting was LED light panels.)
Does anyone know of a plug in our technique to reduce this flicker in resolve?
Thank you for any ideas or comments.

Wouldn't any correction of the 50 Hz lighting cause flickering in the LED light panels? Are they the same colour temperature?

There are number of solutions for dealing with that kind of a problem. Unfortunately, I just know high end professional choices, such as PF Clean, FilmMaster,Revival or Flame...
Resolve doesn't have any tools, that can help you out.

Genart Sapphire has a nice tool called S_FlickerRemove. Sapphire plugs doesn't work in Resolve of course, but if can take a trip out to After Effects, FCP7 etc. it doable.

Hi Jake
Thanks for the tip will check out the items you mentioned.
Do you know if any of the products you mentioned work with R3D files, and if not what format you would recommend transcoding the R3D files to clean up the footage?
Thanks again for you help

He Christian
Thanks for the info. Just checked out Genart's website. Sapphire look interesting and I can rent it for a month, which is a great option for this project.

There are also any number of post houses around the world that can remove or reduce flicker from scenes. This is a pretty standard process of film restoration projects, and it happens quite a bit with digital productions, too.
In LA, I'd recommend MTI Film in Hollywood, and Reliance Mediaworks/Lowry Digital in Burbank. Both can handle this kind of thing very well. If it's just a few minutes of material, and you're just delivering HD, this won't necessarily cost a fortune.
