It's only 5 mins long...

If you experience lag on their website, right-click on the Verizon ads, select "Quality" and then "Low" (You may have to do it twice to the first ad, right-click and make sure "Low" was selected properly - if it works, you'll be able to see a difference)

Thanks!

The production value and set ups were vey nice. As a writer I cracked up! As a DOP I would say well done - I would have have used a black promist filter for the MS and CU shots.

I gotta' ask though, do you really want to be selected for a Burnett production of project greenlight? It won't be the most talented filmmaker that gets selected - look at survivor. It's all about the ratings. I told this to my buddy that submiited his short:

Still, I enjoyed the concept and execution.

Break a leg...

PS: Flash playback quality was great on my system.

I thought about that. If you knew me personally, you'd be shocked that I even submitted this to The Lot. I'm also submitting to festivals, but I thought "what the heck, might as well." The likelihood of making it is very small anyway, and at least my film will get some exposure. And if I make it, I'll just make the best of the situation.

I'm sorry but I just don't have the liberty to allow pride to get in the way of my dreams.

Thanks for watching it! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

My damn email box is full of notes from all my indie friends asking me to vote for their movies! lol.

Of all the Lot submissions I've seen so far (about a total of 15), this is quite possibly my favorite. As it started my initial reaction was "oh... b&w, he's trying to be artsy fartsy...". But then it looked to be well composed, the musical selection did a nice job to fit the mood. ...When the score transitioned to the sugarplum fairy as the guy was getting sleepy, I was like "WTF?". I figured the drawing was going to come to life and it did... It worked out great from there on out. It added a lot using the color for the items that came to life while the writer slept. Overall, very well done and much more polished than just about every other submission that I've taken the time to view... Sharkguy might be right about the black promist, but I kinda liked it the way it was, it had a nice clean look to it... I don't know if the vignette was right to use, but after watching it again, I'm not sure if defined edges all the way around would be any better.
