Even if we never hear a word from Jim/the team regarding Red's development, it might come as some relief, that in less than 90 days, you might actually be clutching a RedOne.

Personally, I can work with that.

Wow 90 days. Finally, I can stop hiding my visits to Reduser from my girlfriend and get down to hiding the 20k camera package under the bed.

"Sweety, what are you doing in there?"

I know I'll have the credit card ready at NAB for RED drives and all the other RED goodies if not offered on the web site before hand.

This was 12 days ago I think. So maybe, we might just get the info just a little early per Jim. Then again all things subject to change... No matter what, I am grateful to get the chance to purchase such an amazing piece of gear. I know we are all "chomping at the bit" to see what the prices of the "known" accessories might be so we can make the proper arrangements. Thanks guys.:nerd:

You think you need help???? Look at my post count! I'm insane.

I wake up in the morning, and I check the forum while I'm eating a quick breakfast. I go do my usual work-out either weights/cycling/swimming/hockey depending on the day of the week. I come back and check the fourm... Then I do some editing or modeling, etc... I send it off to the render farm and check the forum. I do a bit more work, check the forum... I go find some lunch and eat while I check the forum. I then say "screw it" regarding the rest of my daily work and check the forum... I go play with the kids and then I check the forum... I help get the kids to bed, then I check the forum while I watch the news and check the forum. ...I couldn't sleep the other night so I checked the forum at 2:00AM. And it was nice to see there's other people as screwed up as me because there were new posts to respond to.

I'm jones'n for my REDfix bad... I've never been so anxious to drop $30K or so on anything plus another boatload of accessories. It's like I'm having my midlife crisis, but I'm buying a camera instead of a shiny RED sportscar... All I need to go with it is the cute, young girl. The pictures of Kelly in the sticker dress were a start, but I'd better stop there before I get in trouble with the wife. She's already not impressed with the whole situation... At first she was OK with the camera purchase. Now se walks into my office and all I hear is "you're on that #@$%! site again???!!!"

You do realise that people from more than one time zone visit this forum, don't you?

Yes... But that takes some of the fun out of the commentary. Besides, comparing posting times with reported locations often shows that there's a lot of people around here who don't sleep much. :clown2:

I often find this forum an interesting resource for technical stuff related to the RED Camera. Sometimes threads dig deeper in things like the video-assists thread. Not too often there are threads which deal with cinematography (could be more, will come when people start shooting with the RED Camera) but there are very rarely threads which give you a personal insight into peoples life. This creates inspiration (filmmakers depend on inspiration) and is the salt in a community.
Thanks a lot AppliedVisual!
