So

I have a hunch this might be a local SAN-related issue, but have anyone else seen adding EXR sequences (vfx) taking down resolve (unless you pre-render them)

Found the solution to this...

the reason was old rocket drivers on the Resolve. Seems unrelated, but that solved it...
