Matte box reduction/filter rings

What filter ring combinations are people using with their matte box/lens setups?

I believe Brook was saying for his Red 18-50 and 300mm he's using 138-114mm filter ring which fits both (sorta)

Other thoughts?

I'm about to order an LMB-5. I'm assuming I would need the 114mm clamp on adapter that Arri makes for that mattebox with the 18-50mm?
