I know this exists for R3D files in particular but I also transfer a lot of files from kipro's and DSLRs etc.. and i'm looking for a software solution that can monitor my transfers and ensure the data that is being backed up is a perfect copy.

What solutions are out there (Mac or PC or both) that might meet these requirements. Ideally it can monitor the files going to two simultaneous drives (possibly e-sata or firewire) but just verifying to one and then the other would work in a pinch.

I've tried searching for a solution but don't know what to call the software to find good results.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

edit: nevermind, theres a windows version as well.

Thanks!

Also take a look at R3D Data Manager: http://www.r3ddata.com/

R3D Data Manager is made specifically to transfer Red magazines, and also has tools for getting back R3D files after you've formatted a drive. It's saved my ass once or twice.

I would advice you to get both. If something goes wrong with one, you have the other as backup. In the grand scheme of things, having both is short money in exchange for data integrity.

Hi Andrew,

How robust is Silverstack - any issues??

I have been thinking about getting this for a while but have been put off by some (probably outdated) mixed reviews!

Also very interested in http://3cp.gammadensity.com/home.html - anyone using this? - I remember Brook Willard mentioning way back when that he used this...?

All the best,

Havent actually used it a great deal, know the backup function is in there though.

3CP is on my Xmas list. Doing far too much Alexa work now and want a good suite to handle it. Hoping the ioXT will make it a powerful beast for macbook jobs
