Thanks. That's cool for a desert shoot. Wonder if anyone tested above the 40C or 104F yet. Most posts talk about winter and below 0C temp. Like to see some experience for real hot situations - above 100F maybe.

I've had cameras above 100 degrees... They work. Keep them out of the sun and apply frozen peas and lima beans as needed.
Have fun out there, Dino.

Thats nice to know, since we often work in 40-45c heat in WA

How is the RED Drive handling out there? Judging from those pics, it looks like you are giving it a thorough workout.

Oman Border! I hope you guys had your life insurance up to date coz thats not really the best place in the world to be driving around in a truck with something that looks like a rocket launcher on the back of it. Specially if the USAF are flying around out there.
Still, could be worse places I guess.

this sort of sums up today. one location, the future dubailand resort, add a ferrari, a maserati granturismo and a porche.

Great pics! I once joked the fastest way to raise money to finance a film is to fly to Dubai - and just hang out in hotel bar. There are some "qualified investors" over there -

is it somekind of stabilizer in that van (big bag under camera) ?:excl:
dino g

no stabilizer, just a newer van with good shocks, way better than the old truck bed.

drive is unbelievable, best thing in the world.
here are some pics of todays (01/02/08) shoot; we started the day with a timelapse of the sun coming up, then headed out to the dunes and ended with some dune boarding (snowboarding on the dunes)...

So they shoot great footage that will probably be blurred
and covered up. Maybe they can cut a clean version
and send it here.
