Saw the movie yesterday night. I'm almost certain I saw a digital projection but it didn't seem like it was 4K. I have to say Mara did a great performance, Craig was good and the overall film was entertaining and sequels will surely follow. I have an opinion concerning certain aspects of the story that I dislike, but will leave this for another time :)

I think like most red owners I went into this film to see how it looked. Have to say I didn't expect the "Bond like" intro! Anyway, I think the images looked good, Sharp specially on the close ups. Loved the On Board Bike shots, the night city shots and some of the interior shots in the houses. There was, however, one sequence that made me scratch my head: a scene/sequence at a disco/bar. It was noisy with washed out colors and blacks. What I don't understand is that there's a major part of the film shot at night or in many low light situations, with some of them looking much more challenging than the disco one, and they looked beautiful, with nice blacks, nice skin tones, great gradation and no noise. The disco scene just looked out of place... Was it something wrong with my Cinema? Its a brand new Cinema with brand new screens. Have seen Sherlock Holmes II and Mi 4 in it with no issues. Anyone felt that in that particular scene? I was obviously the only one that noticed that on the audience, by the way. I went in there to watch the film and to "dissect" the image :)

EDIT- Forgot to say that there was one particular scene that really impressed me: A Scene in a train station that showed incredible dynamic range in the sky and on the platform with Daniel Craig. Very, very impressive.

Anyway, the film looked excellent and am glad to be a future owner of a camera capable of this type of visuals. Can't wait!
