a) Ability to use 35mm lenses with ENG lens as a custom option. PLEASE we are tired of Eng lens or having to carry a mini bazooka with our 35mm adapter.
b) Over and under cranking.
c) at least 2k rez.
d) 2 built in CF SLOTS.
e) High def LCD with peaking.
f) TC IN/OUT.
g) Std battery mounts (IDX, AB ..etc).

I can't imagine Jim making a camera that shoots less than 4K at this point, with all the work put into Mysterium.

It would be logical to use that work to make a really good S-16 2.5k camera. Compactness and battery life speak against a higher resolution, and honestly it is sufficient for most needs.
I would like something built at a $10k quality and feature range rather than a cheaper camera with more compromises. In particular, I really would want to use intercangeable S-16 lenses.

I concur. That would be spectacular, and a little more affordable for the super indie.

1) Multicam oriented (TC-IN and OUT, settings on SD, easily syncable)
2) The Mysterium sensor and 4K
3) CF Recording

have any of you actually handled 4K footage? If this thing is going to sell for less than $10k, dealing with 4k is something that costs at least another 5-10k in post.
Shooting 4k is a lot like getting married. It sounds great and you get all the lovin' you want, until you have to put up with the nasty day-to-day moodiness of keeping your house clean and not spilling 100GB files all over the place... not to mention getting a 4K master OUT of that computer that you just edited on.

How about s16 at 120p since we're guessing.

Exciting indeed, 'though i ordered a EX1..
but, let me think:
if it has swapable lens, 2k at framerates above 60, built in viewfinder, 16mm or 35mm sensor, built in mic, AF etc, then who's gonna even buy Red Ones? I mean 4k is brilliant, but a Scarlet at these specs will surely scare hell out of SI and Sony and all the others as well as Red One itself....
so what'll it be?
hm...
my guess is specs like the ex1, smaller in size, maybe swappable lens...
but what concerns me most is: what about support in the e.u.? what about 1year warranty? will there be a Red-Base in Europe, Asia, Australia?
that's strong arguments for me....

Totally agree with you no more, bazookas hangin around...35mm lenses with nikon or canon mount is a must, wich we need full frame sensors, res at 2k would do for me _ less hassle in post, cranking is a must, peaking would be great, if they achieve the above mentionned I am sold...

- 2k Fullframe
- 1-100fps
- 1k Windowed 1-200fps
- killer light sensitive (2k Fullframe might help)
- PL Mount
- 4 ch 96kHz, 24bit Audio
- 5 inch 720p Built in Display
- variable Data Rates
- 2 CF Slots
- size of a HV 20 :w00t: or double is ok too..
well - no more wishes - i'd see 9'950$ as ideal
