The new version of Allstar Dual Bridge Plate is available,
It is much easier to mount/take off than fist version which was made in 2009.
Of course, you can get the lowest height/center of gravity than any other HH rig, and keep all of rods, that mean you don`t need to leave any accessory for hand-held.

Here is a video to show how simple it is to assemble:

Dual bridge plate can work with many kinds of camera, and easy to swap from tripod/shoulder.
If you want use Dual bridge plate on DSMC camera, you will need to mount a riser under camera or add our product "DSMC Rods Riser" between upper dovetail and universal Rod Clamp.

Just in time for me to order accessories. It looks pretty long for Epic/Scarlet use. What are the dimensions?

Also curious to see it with an Epic mounted on it. I'm guessing Tom chose to make it long so that you can use it to balance the camera properly when using his shoulder pad.

Dual Bridge Plate is not just designed for DSMC, we will have shorter upper dovetail without rear rods clamp.
Because of some people think signal rods clamp isn`t strong enough for support zoom lens, so we are available dual rods clamps type first.

That looks really great.

I'm assuming that's a 19mm version? Any plans for an offset 15mm version?

Of course, DAB can mount studio 19mm/15mm, offset 15mm and LW 15mm, all type of rods can be kept on upper dovetail.

Is this version for the Epic as well?

ALLSTAR

Yes, it can work with EPIC, just need to add a riser under camera, or add our DSMC riser between upper dovetail and rod clamp if you don`t want to increase the height for shoulder .

Wow, a few days ago I started sketching out a design almost identical to this. So glad I saw this thread before I had any prototypes made! hahaha

RED dovetail plate just can work with RED bottom plate.
Dual bridge plate works with Arri dovetail.

Just remember, this is not DSMC-only bridge plate like RED QR system, so you will need add a riser when mounting DSMC camera.
EX.: EPIC with Dual bridge plate, Universal Rod Clamp 19mm, 15mm Rod Adapter, DSMC Rods Riser and Allstar ARRI dovetail 16":

This system works perfect on REDONE, you can get very low center of gravity and feel steadily on your shoulder.
