Has anyone had this problem? It seems like our camera is stuck in the focus assist mode. I can pan around the sensor image but there is no way to view the entire subject.
Is there a menu somewhere for surround view?

Obvious dumb response - have you checked both zoom buttons, the one on the lcd and the camera body?

(Hand smacks head) There's a zoom on the camera body? Are you talking about the B&C buttons on the side of the camera (Not on the back of the camera or in the menu)?
Thanks for the reply Craig

Yep, 2 will zoom you back out. 1 will auto WB.

thanks- now I'm an expert on that button- only about 10 more to go!
I kept looking in the manual for some place in the menu system, but it makes much more sense to have white balance and zoom function right at your fingertips now that I think about it.

Side note-
You can disable those 3 buttons on the front side by menu navigating to:
system-set up-preferences-keymap-
then you can disable side record, user a/b
this will slim the chance of you accidentally hitting these buttons while operating.
