I'm starting to realize I have way too much glass sitting around here, especially since the Birger mount is still a few months away. SOooo I was wondering what the Reduser community would pay for a set of manual focus Nikkor primes with gears, 85mm fronts and an older (but fine working) 4x4 Chrosziel mattebox.

I'm not asking for bids, I haven't decided to sell anything yet, but I'm curious.

The set in question contains 7 lenses:
20mm f2.8 AIS
24mm f2 AI
35mm f1.4 AI
50mm f1.2 AI
85mm f1.4 AIS
105mm f2.8 Macro
135mm f2 AIS

All the lenses have been chosen for their suitability to cinema shooting weather that's focus draw, speed or vintage. All have been inspected or adjusted and cleaned by an authorized Nikon service center.

The current used market price of all these lenses, plus gears and fronts is right about $3000

This is not a auction, just a curiosity.

You can't sell any Nikkor glass until we get the official scoop on the Nikon glass w/Nikon Mount. Otherwise, that means I'll have to dismantle my Evin Grant Nikon Shrine, which sits right next to my Jim Jannard Shrine.

But thanks for the old school DVX focus chart.

Ahh, I had no idea  don't worry, I'm not getting rid of anything yet. But I have multiples of some lenses and was considering making a second set and selling that.

well i miss only two or tree of those primes, but 3000$ for a complete geared set sounds good.
what kind of gears?
By the way.....Evin, may the force be with you for the complete nikon/red test!

cheers

Now that even you are getting rid of all the old banged up lenses that doesn´t work with the birgermount, maybe it would be time to lose all the stickys aswell, recommending people to buy them?

I'm asking if anyone would pay more than that. That's what the set cost in raw goods. I'm trying to find out if there is any interest in the whole set because I've put many hours into assembling and testing it.

And as far as being banged up, hardly. There is one 35mm 1.4 that has some metal wearing through the paint but that's the one I'm keeping, it's has the most beautiful glass. And all these lenses have been CLA'd recently.

BTW these will work perfectly well on the Birger, you will just have to have a traditional follow focus. They are manual lenses but will fit and work fine.
