FCP Based Online Suite [Archive]

Hi All,

We are exploring the option of using REDs for an upcoming TV series and were planing to use an all Apple based workflow.

I wanted to know if anyone here had setup a complete online solution using Apple stuff (FCP, Color, Motion, XServes, XSAN) using RED cameras.

Can anyone recommend a systems integrator that would be able to design such a setup? Or has designed something like this and could share experiences?

We are looking at REDs or HDV as source and out to HDV, Digibeta etc etc (2K and up stuff)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Mike Curtis is the most knowledgable guy I know, from hdforindies.com. If he's not available he would probably be able to recommend someone.

Depending on where you are located, there are a number of good Apple Pro-Vars that would be a good choice, and have configured systems specific to work with RED footage. It would probably be very bad form for me to recommend one over another on the forum here, but if you send me email to ted@red.com I can make some recommendations based on what you are trying to accomplish.

If your second name is Karan, you can be very close to Belgrade or I am wrong :turned:
We will have first camera very soon and have all equipment around the camera ready (Apple centric of course).
