Hey Paul,
Your link to your site didn't work for me! I went in manually.....
Nice site though and well done on getting one of the first packages up and ready in the UK.
Cheers,
Mark.
P.S Did you get the headphones OK?

Hey Mark,
Did you not get the email I sent? I got them from Phil and they're great. Many many thanks. Although up until recently their main use has been for listening to tunes because they're so bloody comfortable.
The website is a work in progress to be honest. At some point a new one with a whole bunch of extras such as client access to their footage direct from our London office will be available. No doubt I'll post here when it's up.
I've fixed the link, something to do with the bold tags being put in... weird. Thanks for pointing that out mate. You'll have to do a post of your SA adventures sometime, and when you're back in the UK swing by Sonic and I'll give you the guided tour.
Cheers mate,
Paul

Sounds like a plan mate, congrats on everything.
Didn't get the mail from before regarding the phones but that may also be down to me having my head in the 'brown clouds' during those weeks prior to taking off for south Africa. I will be putting some words down for a brief adventure outline in an Off Topic thread sometime in the near future. Even more rainy days here than I care to remember in the UK so plenty of down days at the mo.
All the best mate and again, well done.
Cheers,
Mark.

Paul,
Will you be hiring out the Red package without the lenses/mattebox/tripods etc?

Thanks for the kind words fellas. Colm and I both appreciate it.
Sam, that would be great, do you want to PM me any details about it or what you might need?
Hi Stephen, we're really looking to serve as many of a productions needs as possible from production through to post and with only having the one body at the moment sending out a minimal unit won't pay the bills if you get what I mean :). However in the very near future (2nd arrives sometime late January) we will have multiple cameras. In which case a Red Package could possibly be available without all the bells and whistles. The market is fairly new and Sonic intends to roll with the punches. We have a defined idea of what we want to provide our clients but also recognise that a certain amount of adapting will be necessary so things can and will change (Where have I heard that before! :)).
Si look forward to hearing from you mate, hope you had a good holiday.
Cheers
Paul

hi paul i live in london and am hopefully getting my camera in febuary or march #1152. i'm a clapper loader by trade but like you will be hiring my camera out with my self as a DIT. i would love to meet up some time and check out your camera before mine arrives. i have a lot of contacts with dop's and producers and there may be times i need to have access to more than one body. on most features i've worked on even if we are shooting with just one body we will carry a spare in the camera truck.

Will you be shooting any Red stock footage of London?
I'd love a chance to get the quintessential shot of the bridge with Big Ben and Parliment in the background, Picadilly, Westminster, St Pauls, etc.
I went to London two years ago and just miss the city like crazy. I also took a train up to Edinburgh and hung out on the Royal mile. Man, if I owned a Red in the UK, I'd go crazy making stock footage. Every square of your country is a gold mine of footage.

Hi Shawn
Yeah we will be shooting a whole bunch of stock footage from the UK. It's always been something I've been keen to do. We'll either be selling stuff through my little stock footage company at www.HiveImage.com or other suitable vendors, but if you want anything specific shooting then just give me a shout and I'll be happy to go out and shoot it for you weather and time permitting (Best of waiting a couple of months!).
I have lived in the Peak District most of my life which is basically in the heart of England. It's a beautiful place and I can't wait to get the camera up there to shoot some stock footage. My parents have a Guest house called Heathbank with a huge cliff literally on their doorstep, I couldn't find a very nice picture of it but this image (http://www.matlockweb.com/olddemon/048.jpg) kind of illustrates it. My parents place is the other side of the trees on the right.
If you ever make it to the UK again I'd be happy to go out shooting with you in the Peak District and bring along my camera - again weather and time permitting!
Funny you should say that about the UK though. I've always wanted to spend a few months shooting stock in the US! :)
