Any chance Stage 4 Epics ship this month?

I have a Stage 4 Epic on order, and just received my notification for a 5" Touch LCD today that was in an accompanying order. Guess the LCD will spend many lonely weeks, maybe months, before it meets its soulmate. Unless Cupid (i.e. Jarred) intervenes... ;)

Thats the plan... of course stage 3 is a tricky one because half of that timing responsibility falls on you guys to send your stuff in, but for all the other stages, yes.

Come April, The Red.com store will link into the system and start saying things like 4-7 days or 1-2 weeks for stuff out of stock instead of "nothing" and waiting 4-7 months in the dark.

So take that as you will. You could read in to that...

This is for Stage 3 and has a nice spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ar4yL638z4rMdHVtM2V5QkNkNW84c1drNEhYT05RQ kE#gid=0) that is monitoring when people get their notifications / send in their R1. It far from complete as there are only about 290 people on the list, and there will be far more who aren't on the list / don't post on REDuser, but it does give an idea on where they are up to. Stage 3 seems to be shipping based on R1 delivery dates, so those people on the list that have stated when their R1 delivery date was are helping gauge where we are up to. Right now, its still about August 2008.

In all fairness, if you follow that thread and see from people that do post on REDuser, there seems to be a fair number of emails being sent out, and Jarred has stated that there are record numbers of stuff being shipped.


Sorry guys.. we are in the process of moving to a new inventory system, so all the numbers are a bit janky. Was hoping to have it cleared up today.. but didn't make it. The dates should get much more accurate as it takes into account all the outside orders not in the direct manufacturing system, plus including parts allocated to stage 3 since we have had some visibility on that progress.. And who would of guessed it, we might actually be able to post a " now shipping orders from x date " by the end of the month.

Good news is stuff is shipping out in record numbers..


So far so good :) It is going to be useless for me to list dates right now guys.. I would just be making them up. New system, which won't be fully implemented until the end of this month, is going to take away almost all of the guesswork in our "anticipated" dates, but we will start getting limited visibility on what is going on next week.

Remember March is our big "out of backorder month" on most everything.. and everything is on track for that to happen... Including All versions of the Scarlets brains and packages and the Epic stages.

The week-to-week info until then is likely going to be a bit hit and miss... but i will still give them if the info is available.

So hang tight, it will happen ;))

In short, I wouldn't expect a Stage 4 this month.

I did not expect it so soon but got my "Epic-x Stage 4 Allocation" notice on Thurs 2/9, had a heart attack, wired the cash the next day Friday 2/10 and today received notice my order now is processing! It looks like this is the month Stage 4 starts! I was actually yelling out loud this morning, and I never ever yell.

More guys posting down at the end of this page have received their allocation notices also.

Red Bomb Squad rep sent me an email with instructions a day or two after I placed my initial order. I had to go to my bank and fill out a wire transfer form with Red's info and pay the transfer fee. Here's a thread that details the info:
