Thunderbolt to Express Card/34 to sSATA

I am using a 4TB G-Raid via firewire 800 but am considering purchasing a thunderbolt to expresscard/34 adapter http://www.sonnettech.com/product/thunderbolt/index.html and an expresscard/34 to eSATA adapter http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/EXP34SATA2P1/

Would this prove to be futile given that its that there are two adapters? Or should* it work fine?

Does anyone have experience with this?
