OK..... I've started a meetup group at http://www.meetup.com/SF-RED-Users/ . For those that have an aversion to Meetup, please feel free to contact me directly at bill@chadbournemedia.com . I've scheduled the first meeting for March 17th to give myself a couple of days to recover from SXSW. Can't wait. :wink5:

Hi Folks,
There have been a couple of attempts to get a group together, and a Santa Cruz / Southbay group did meet a couple of times. It's difficult because both the people and the work are pretty decentralized.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend those meetings, and subsequently that group has gone quiet.
I'll do my best to make the 17th.
I'll also offer to host at some point somewhere closer to the south bay for a meeting. There has been interest in seeing my production truck and other gear in the past but finding parking in the city is a huge pita and diesel is closing in on $5.00 a gallon ;-)
I've got a couple of Epics and an MX and teach for RED so there is a chance that my experience might be useful to some of you, and I'm sure I can learn from you folks as well.
Hope I can make it!
Best,
Steve

Cross Posting for Bill Schleicher ( http://www.meetup.com/SF-RED-Users/events/85788782/?a=ea1_grp&rv=ea1) From the Bay Area RED Users Group:
Ted Schilowitz
Wednesday, October 24, 2012
7:00 PM To 9:00 PM
Visa Campus Auditorium
900 Metro Center Blvd, Foster City, CA (map)
Hi Folks,
Sorry it's been so long since the last meeting, but we finally have a date for Ted Schilowitz from RED to come by and talk to the group. Ted will be showing off some new products and talking about the ease of the RED media workflow.
For those in the group that are not yet RED owners, this will be a great chance to get some hands on time with a RED camera.
So that you don't have to deal with security, please park in the un-gated lot at 801 Metro Center Blvd., Foster City. Then walk to the building that the Auditorium is in, which is kitty-corner to the building you will be parking at. That address is 900 Metro Center Blvd (south-east corner of the intersection with Vintage Park Drive) Foster City, CA 94404
Note: I'm going to be out of town until the 23rd and could use some help with this event. If anyone has some free time to help coordinate this event, please let me know. bill@sfreduser.net
