I just started doing audio tests with my RED camera, and I'm curious about the workflow with Cineform. If I remember right, RedCine doesn't support audio yet, but even if it doesn't would it be possible to enable HDLink to strip the audio from r3d files and attach while doing the re-wrapping to avi? If not, the other workflow for me right now involves using a time synced Sound Devices 744T, and I'm wondering if the files I render from RedCine to Cineform quicktimes will maintain the original time code, and if this still remains when converting to avi files. I'm not sure how to sync audio from the 744T and the AVI files in Premiere or Vegas even if the timecode matches. Is it possible to make this linking of tracks in HDLink? I'm just looking for a good workflow that includes audio and Cineform, so any advice would be great. I can send files for testing if needed.

Isn't anyone using Cineform with audio, apart from using an old fashioned slate? I'm wondering what people are doing. It would be nice to hear from the Cineform team. I understand that audio is just now being enabled on the camera, but I am still curious about timecode at least.

Currently the only way to create CineForm files from R3D files is to use RedCine which doesn't yet export audio. Hopefully in the near future there will be an update for this.

Thanks David, until Redcine supports audio I guess audio work with the camera will be difficult on the PC. What about timecode though?

If there is no audio from Redcine how do PC users using P2K get audio into Premiere Pro?

Hi thundercross.
We can get the audio using P2K.
To do this,You can extract audio from clips and generate new audio master clips in a project. The original master clips are preserved. To extract audio clips follow the below steps :
In the Project panel, select one or more clips containing audio.
Choose Clip > Audio Options > Extract Audio.
Try this steps and give reply is it working or not?
