open development" format
Because Red Leader and team have committed to open development and look forward to many 3rd party developers supporting the red. I thought a thread for those who are considering development of accessories, integration, or software products should have a place to discuss what they would like to bring to the party or where reservation holders could talk about things they would like to see available for the red.
A Beginning list of suppliers:
Birger engineering is considering announcing a Nikon and maybe Canon lens mount compatable with the red and allowing electronic control of the lenses through the mount.
Abakus, makes an adapter which will adapt HD 2/3" chip lenses in B mount to PL and one chip for use on the RED.
perhaps Scratch will address RED RAW and allow RED Cine to move beyond one light correction to complete DI capabilities.
Several of the folks on this site also post on other sites and I'm aware they make specialized parts for Steadicam etc. so we can expect some additional cool bracketry.
