This happens way too often. Is this being addressed? I'm sure it probably is but thought I would put it out in the open just in case...

is this 4K or 4K 2:1?
if its 4K...thats your problem- 4K does not support proxies and deliver these results.

Soon. QuickTime support for 4k 16:9 needs an update to the REDCINE RAW codec (a.k.a plug in) The actual .r3d data recorded by the camera is fine, and can be ingested into REDCINE for transcoding into an alternative editing codec such as ProRes etc and also exported as a 2K or 4K TIFF or DPX file.

no, you just cant use the proxies if you shoot 4K. It works fine otherwise.
