see i always thought the red spider tex was a design made be a red fan which red embraced ...it would be cool if products for red designed by customers could be manufactured by red ,there should be a designs concepts site for red

The RED-Gun is in development! It is quite a bit different than the original concept. We still have a few surprises left up our sleeves...

well that answers that question , care to elaborate Jim ? let me guess.. you got a whole Red-Rig going on so hopefully, one day, i could deckout and run my own production company entirely from RED or RED endorsed products

The Red-Gun is now an actual gun (AR-15 clone) that bolts underneath your Red-One, this way you can take your Red to the Middle East, Sub-Sahara Africa or lower southeast Asia and not feel hopeless. There will be a commercial revealing this line up with an Arnold Schwarzeneggar'esque action hero weilding his Machine Gun/Red One combo and then he turns to the viewer "I always get the shot!"

I don't believe you Shawn!

A clone of the AR-15? That hardly fits in with RED's history so far - no cloning or copying evident so far.

I think they'll be making a whole new gun concept. It probably won't even be a carbine, maybe they'll use some new ballistic technology? Something like the Metalstorm, but smaller and better of course.

I think it will be a zero-recoil electronically actuated projectile system.

Same applies to Tex the red mascot spider--which many believe may be the new pocket cam without the knives...
This guy and Jeff Kilgroe may be right

Look at the "form factor" thread in the scarlet forum. We kinda re-visited the possibility of "Tex" holding some keys to what scarlet may be. Acehole did a mock-up of a spherical shaped camera design.

In the body shape of the spider, I see some potential for some really cool products. I don't know if scarlet will turn out to be one or not, but it's fun to think about.
