That's the title of the 3:30-4:30 segment of the "Director of Photography Workshop - Day 1" (http://www.nab.org/nabshow/Conferences/sessiondetail.asp?id=1205650) on april 14th at NAB. It's $625 for the two days. The whole "postproduction world conference" (http://www.nab.org/nabshow/conferences/ppwc.asp) is $895 and includes the above mentioned workshop plus 3 days of training in dif. areas.

I initially planned to attend the "digital cinema summit" (http://nabshow.com/digital_cinema_summit.php) ($495) but after seeing this I'm not sure if the complete post world conference or the DP workshop could be a better option. If anyone has attended before and could give me an insight it'd be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone know who will give the speech on the RED segment at the DP workshop? I wonder if they'll be showing the goods before monday there. I suspect it's going to be really interesting!

saludos!

Ted does most of the speaking engagements... so if Red is booked to speak somewhere it most likely will be him.

So, any suggestions on which conference to attend?

Can anyone from Red talk more about what will be covered in this?

Is there anything in this course that goes beyond what will be covered at the Red booth? I'm trying to figure out if the cost and extra hotel days are worth it.

Thanks!

Sorry to be annoying and keep asking about this - but does anyone know what this workshop on Saturday is all about?

What do you think you'll learn in an hour that you won't be able to find out at the Red booth over the course of 1-4 days?

Good point - that's exactly what I was asking before. I just haven't been to the DP workshops so I don't know what they're all about, compared to the exhibit booth.
