Were e-mails not supposed to be sent out by now?

I thought that Brent had said that red res. #s 300-700 would be getting e-mails by Friday about an upcoming delivery. Did I read that wrong? I haven't seen anything about it.

Email is created and will be blasted over the next few hours. The group receiving this blast is #301-#500. I am not asleep yet so I still consider it Friday :)

Actually, not meaning to be difficult, some things have changed: For example the red drives are supposedly shipping now. (In Big John's email he says they're not.) I hope the same is true of the 50-150 lenses.

I have a feeling they are counting #101-300 as part of this month since they only just finished shipping those. #301-500 makes it 400 for the month.

I just hope this doesn't mean that #501-700 have to wait for an entire batch of 500-600 cameras to be ready before they begin shipping....

My interpretation of Jon's update sticky is they are (beginning) shipping 400 units by the end of January. (That means cameras 301 to 700, give or take.)

I don't think so. I'm guessing 300 to 500 this month, followed by cameras up to 800 by the end of February. I do not currently believe they will make 400 cameras a month for a long time. The RED group is an optimistic bunch.

Correct, to clarify - Big Jon's post information regarding deliveries still rings true.

As far as 50-150, not with the next batch, no. Soon though...

And, no, you don't have to wait for an entire month's worth of cameras is ready to ship before you get an email from us. Logistically, a steady stream of fulfillment makes a heck of a lot more sense than waiting until 500 cameras are ready, then breaking our necks to fulfill all in a few days time. So, we blast in good-sized chunks to announce delivery is pending...

And, as the first #300 can attest, we are evolving, listening to feedback, and getting better each time.

As I posted in the "Quiet.." thread:

Yup, we are still working. We don't "sleep" at RED as much as we "nap". We do have a few more tweaks to make to the email template and code. We took in all the great (both positive and constructive) feedback from the #101-#300 group and really tried to make the email much more helpful and clear. We will keep working on it through the day and you (#301-#500) should definitely have emails from RED by the end of the day today (PT). Which would still keep me not breaking my "by the end of the week" promise

Rest assured, we are doing as much as we can, as quickly as we can across many departments: sales, accounting, tech support, QA, shipping, etc. Not one person at RED ever, truly takes a day off. It starts with Jim and trickles down through the rest of the team.

I replay with complete list of accessories that I need and ask for proforma invoice and money transfer information that I need because I want to use wire transfer.
I get proforma invoice with explanation that I have to wait a little bit more for camera with my number to be ready for delivery . I am waiting now for new email with that information. I believe that you will also get email of this kind these days and I am sorry if I make any confusion.

FYI-

Anybody with one or more cameras in the Serial #301 - #500 should already have an email from sales@red.com with the subject "Your RED ONE is nearly ready".

1) If you have a serial in this range, but you don't have the email yet, please check your SPAM folder.
2) Try to remember what email address you used when you originally signed up ~ The email would have been sent to that address.

Email went out about 9:00 AM Saturday morning, PST (Sat @ 17:00 GMT)
