Hi
Searched the forum for a while and came up with nothing.
Red #213 which I recieved about a week ago, and I am working through learning the screens/functions.
The first thing I shot was at 4k 2:1 for no special reason.
I was able to view/manipulate and output in Redcine OK. And the framing
turned out as expected. IE what I saw on the RED LCD at the time of shooting.
Well today I set the camera up in my studio for another learning session, and decided to set it for 2K 2:1 and try varispeed 70 fps for some slomo.
I shot a few clips, and offloaded and opened in Redcine. I was suprised that my framing was way off. Not at all what I was looking at on the RED LCD.
So I went back to the setup, and sat with the manual and explored the menus again.
I cannot get any sort of guides up on the screen.
The joystick actually moves the image around, like I can pan left and right, up and down.
After exploring the menus for an hour or more I am more confused than I was before. In the ignorance of my first try everything came out as expected, but now I have no idea if what the RED LCD is showing me is actually what I am recording.
Anyone shed some light?
