build 13 problems [Archive]

a few bugs to report on build 13:

1. is anyone else getting a crazy screen full of colors upon bootup? i shot a full day with build 13 with no issues. the next day, it booted with a garbled screen. all menu functions seemed to work and it even recorded and played back with a progress bar but no matter how many times i rebooted, no good. i had revert back to build 12 to see any images in the viewfinder.

2. black shading calibration has been going now for over 20 minutes. it seems stuck in the "starting black shading calibration" part. i'm assuming i can reboot and try again but am a little scared to reboot during a calibration. any suggestions?

3. my display keeps defaulting back to evf + pvw everytime i boot up. it's really annoying to set it to lcd everytime.

otherwise, build 13 seems fine.

ok so my cf card was full and gave a "card full error" at the beginning of the calibration. i guess it requires a little card space to read or write something because i formatted the card and tried calibration again. this time no problems.

Did the black shading take care of the colors?

no. the colors i got didn't look nearly as cool as yours. there was no perceivable image in them at all. i can only attribute the problem to the new build 13. since then, i've upgraded back to build 13 but have not been able to reproduce the problem yet.

You must have a blank formatted CF card when running black calibration.

so far i can't get HDMI out to work ( selecting EVF+PVW) - just get a dark green image on external screen ... it did work under build 12 ....

Thats a big issue! Any one else that has gone to 13 can you verify this problem?
