I was wondering if some fellow red users have creative Tape storage solutions for their LTO collections.
I'm looking for ease of organization and quick overview rather than security in this case.
I have some IKEA kitchen cabinets in my editing room with slide out drawers, it holds about 400 tapes per drawer, two layers deep, which menas i have to extract some top tapes to get to the lower level.
It's not the worst system. My overview of the tapes is limited by the face that the upper layer covers the lower one, but this is offset by a job docketing system that let's me dig in the right area. The benefit of this set up is that it's very space efficient.
I'd be interested to see what kind of creative solutions people came up with for tapes.
